Princeton Teen Flown To Hospital After Crash

accident-2-2

A 17-year old female was flown to a Nashville hospital after a single-vehicle wreck in the area of Jewel City Road and Richards Road in Hopkins County Tuesday afternoon.

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies were dispatched to the wreck around 1:40 p.m. and discovered the 17-year old female was driving a car westbound on Jewel City road when the vehicle dropped off the road and she overcorrected. Deputies say the vehicle then crossed both lanes and went off the road and hit a ditch, causing the vehicle to come to a final rest back on the roadway.

Deputies say the female was taken by ambulance to the emergency room at Baptist Health in Madisonville and then transported by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
