A Hopkinsville man is facing charges after an incident with a police officer Monday morning.
Hopkinsville Police report 22-year old Jessie Williams III was receiving assistance from an officer outside of 607 Hammond Plaza. Williams reportedly punched the officer in the face twice with a closed fist and fled across a parking lot on foot.
Williams was arrested and lodged in the Christian County Jail facing 3rd-degree assault to a police officer and 2nd degree fleeing and evading.
