New Details Released In Glenwood Way Shooting

The Christian County Sheriff’s Department is releasing additional details about a Saturday night shooting that left a Hopkinsville man with injuries.

According to the report from Deputy Andy Sanderson, 63-year-old Kenneth Mclay was shot in the left elbow at the home of his sister Nadine Smith at 7604 Glenwood Way. The shooting reportedly occurred around 10:30 when Mclay said he went out of the house the suspect came out of the bushes next door and began shooting at him. The suspect also shot the windows out of one of two cars parked near the house.

Mclay was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries to his elbow. Deputy Sanderson says a Hopkinsville Police K-9 attempted to track the suspect but was unable to turn up any leads. The sheriff’s department and police department are continuing their investigation.
