Two people were injured in a head-on crash in Clarksville Friday morning.
According to Police Public Information Officer Jim Knoll, a 24-year old female was driving a car east in the westbound lanes of the 101st Airborne Division Parkway between Trenton Road and Wilma Rudolph Boulevard around 2:40 this morning. The female reportedly crashed head-on into an SUV driven by a 54-year old female head-on. Police say both females had to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency responders.
The 54-year old woman was taken by ambulance to Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville for treatment of non-life threating injuries. The 24-year old woman was taken by ambulance to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville where Knoll says she is listed in stable condition. The roadway was blocked for approximately two and a half hours while crews cleaned up the accident scene.
