A missing hunter found deceased Friday morning in Christian County died from natural causes, according to the Christian County Coroner’s Office.

Deputy Coroner Zachary Lamb tells the News Edge he was on the scene assisting with the search when 54-year old Samuel Loy’s body was found around 9:30 a.m. He says a medical issue contributed to his cause of death.

He says Loy’s body was found near Huffman Mill’s Road off of Lafayette Road.

Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham says Loy went hunting around noon Thursday in the 6000 block of Lafayette Road. He says his family reported him missing a couple of hours later.
