Man Critically Injured In October Wreck Near Herndon Dies

Funeral services will be held Friday morning for a Murray man who was critically injured after his vehicle hit a farm animal north of Herndon last month. An Imes Funeral Home obituary says 51-year old Troy Clere died Sunday at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

On October 22, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office repierted Clere was traveling westbound on Gracey-Herndon Road when he hit a hog standing in the middle of the road. Upon impact, he lost control of his vehicle causing it to flip and roll multiple times. Clere was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center and later flown to Skyline Medical Center in critical condition.

Clere leaves behind a wife, three daughters, and several close family members. The obit says he served with the United States Air Force and was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. He worked as an Aviation Air Frame Engineer.
