Trigg County officials and community members gathered Monday afternoon to thank longtime county employee Tammy Groves for all she has done for the county.
Judge-Executive Hollis Alexander says Groves has been a good friend.
According to former Judge-Executive Berlin Moore, Groves is unique because she helps anyone who needs it.
Groves says the first thing she will do while being retired, travel.
Groves’s last day as county treasurer will be Wednesday, October 31, former country treasurer Lucy Oliver Kyler will take over the position on November 1.
