Workforce Board Looking To Fill Veterans Liaison Position

The South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council held their monthly meeting Monday afternoon.

Executive Director Mark Lindsey told members that Marc Quesenberry the Veterans Transition Liaison at the West Kentucky Workforce Board has left the position.

Director of West Kentucky Workforce Board, Sheila Clark says they are currently looking for someone to take Quesenberry’s position.

Also during the meeting, Lindsey presented the unemployment rates for the three counties the EDC covers.

In recent events, TGASK held a tree planting event at its Hopkinsville factory. Lindsey says they planted several thousand trees.

Board members learned that Christian County will be awarded the Silver Level TVA Sustainability next month. According to TVA, the Silver Level means Hopkinsville has community-wide sustainability initiatives in place, with some programs available to support the business community and economic development opportunities.
