Police say a man wanted on several warrants in two states is facing several other charges, including DUI, after he crashed a stolen vehicle into the drive-thru at Wendy’s on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in Clarksville Thursday night.

Police spokesman Jim Knoll says officers responded to the scene around 9:00 p.m. and found the driver, 41-year old Michael Shane Patterson, a short distance away from the car. Eyewitnesses confirmed Patterson was the man seen who ran from the scene of the crash. Knoll indicates the car was allegedly stolen out of Oak Grove, but warrants had not been secured for the theft. In addition, he says Patterson had a revoked Tennessee license and multiple outstanding warrants from Tennessee and Kentucky.

According to police, Patterson has a lengthy criminal history and was booked into the Montgomery County Jail charged with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, being a fugitive wanted in another state, vandalism and other offenses.
