Man Indicted For May Murder Of Clarksville Woman

A Clarksville man already in jail for premeditated murder was served indictments Thursday in connection to another murder.

Clarksville Police Public Information Officer Jim Knoll says 28-year old Timothy Elijah Ogburn was already in jail on other charges including the May 19 first degree premeditated murder and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon in the homicide of Julian Torres behind Bob’s Discount Tobacco on Providence Boulevard.

Mitchell Street Murder Scene

According to Knoll, the grand jury returned indictments for Ogburn in October on charges of first-degree murder, two counts of first degree attempted murder and other offenses. The indictments stem from May 23 when police found Tanesha Hardy with a gunshot wound inside a vehicle in the 200 block of Mitchell Street. She was transported by ambulance from the scene and died from her injuries. The attempted murder charges are in connection to other individuals inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting.
