The Hopkinsville-Christian County YMCA has named an interim chief executive officer to fill the position of Pamela Hamilton who announced last month she is resigning, effective November 2. Board Chair Spencer Kilijian says Leslie Carroll has accepted the position and will begin her duties Friday.
Carroll, who is well known in the community, stated in a release it is a humbling privilege and blessing to be of service to our YMCA and community in this time of transition. She noted the YMCA will continue to deliver its mission and strengthen our community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Board Chair Spencer Kilijian said as a board they are excited Carroll has accepted the position as Interim CEO, and they look forward to working with her as they continue to move the YMCA forward in their mission.
The CEO job will be posted by the Board of Directors in the upcoming weeks as they begin the process of conducting a search to fill the position.
