Hopkinsville’s efforts to celebrate the Solar Eclipse have garnered another award.
According to a post on social media, Brooke Jung, who was the Eclipse Events Coordinator, says Hopkinsville won the Grand Pinnacle Award during the 63rd Annual International Festival and Events Association convention in San Diego, California Monday.
The Association annually presents the coveted Grand Pinnacle Award to an event that shows creativity and excellence in multiple categories from marketing to merchandise to operations to sponsorship and beyond. Jung says it is the Academy Awards of festivals and events.
She says the award honored Hopkinsville’s efforts as a community for the 2017 Solar Eclipse. Jung says it is a huge honor and she is proud of Eclipseville for making Hoptown shine so bright.
The post also says Oak Grove was recognized for their excellence in a new event.
