A Cadiz man was arrested and charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident on Rockcastle Road last week.
The Trigg County Sheriff’s Office says deputies received a call of a vehicle in the ditch on Rockcastle Road last Thursday afternoon where the caller gave a description of the driver and he climbed out of the window and appeared to be intoxicated. Deputies located the driver, 65-year old Gary Vetzel at his residence and he matched the caller’s description. Vetzel reportedly had a strong odor of alcoholic beverages slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet. The report says he refused field sobriety tests.
Vetzel was booked into the Christian County Jail.
