A Caldwell County man was injured in a wreck on West Main Street in Princeton Monday afternoon.

Princeton Police Chief Chris King says officers responded to the wreck occurred around 3:50 p.m. in front of Casey’s General Store. The investigation revealed that 75-year old Richard Martin of Princeton was driving westbound on a Honda scooter when he hit the rear passenger side of a van driven by 86-year old Betty Granstaff of Princeton, who was going by him in the turning lane.

Martin was transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Caldwell Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
