Fort Campbell To Honor Retirees With Appreciation Day

The Fort Campbell Retirement Services Office will be hosting their 12th annual Retiree Appreciation Day on September 22 at the Soldier Support Center at 2702 Michigan Avenue.

Registration will begin at 8:00 AM, opening ceremony featuring the 101st Airborne Division Band and remarks from Fort Campbell Garrison Commander Colonel Joseph P. Kuchan at 9:00 AM. Afterward, retirees and spouses can receive health information, as well as immunizations for influenza, pneumonia, and shingles at the Blanchfield Army Community Hospital health fair.

Veteran Affairs and Tennessee Valley Healthcare System representatives will assist retirees applying for VA services and other benefits.

A “shred event” will also take place at the Soldier’s Support Center. Staff will be on hand to shred attendees’ personal documents in the building from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The 2nd Brigade Combat Team dining facility will serve brunch beginning at 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM. The cost will be $6.25 and will be cash only. RSVPs can be made by calling the Retirement Services Office at (270) 798-3174.
