Motorists traveling the Gracey-Herndon Road need to be aware the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close a section of the road to allow a cross drain to be replaced Friday.
Spokesman Keith Todd says KY 117 will be closed near the 12-mile marker between Cox Mill Road and Newstead Road beginning around 7:15 Friday morning. It’s expected to reopen to traffic around 2:30 p.m.
There will not be a marked detour. However, motorists may self-detour via Cox Mill Road and Newstead Road.
