Hopkinsville Spectrum Customers To See Major Change

City of Hopkinsville officials are announcing big changes coming up for Spectrum Cable customers in the city. According to a news release, Spectrum will be transitioning its entire television channel lineup to a digital format.

Business and residential customers will have to set up a set-top box, a digital transport adapter, or a retail device with a CableCARD on each television in order to continue to receive a picture. Customers who connect a cable line directly into the back of their televisions will have to order a self-installation kit.

The release says that Spectrum customers will be receiving detailed instructions about the transition on billing statements beginning September 2, 2018.

In light of the transition schedule, Hopkinsville Mayor Carter Hendricks and the Hopkinsville Television Cable Oversight Authority welcomes Spectrum residential and business customers to reach out to ask questions and to voice any concerns.
