Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Hosting USSSA Tournament This Weekend

Tie Breaker Park in Hopkinsville is hosting twenty-four All-Star Baseball teams from around the state Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon. City of Hopkinsville Division of Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman tells the News Edge that teams will be playing in hopes to earn a championship ring in the USSSA All-Star Baseball Tournament.

The United States Specialty Sports Association event will begin at 9:30 AM Saturday and will be broken into three age divisions. 8U (seven teams), 10U (nine teams), and 12U (eight teams). Each winning team will be awarded state championship rings.

All three groups will feature teams from the Hopkinsville-Christian County Youth League. Gates open at 7:30 AM Saturday, and at Noon on Sunday. All three championship games will be played simultaneously, and are scheduled to begin at 4:30 PM Sunday.
