Police say a Hopkinsville is behind bars after he resisted arrest and ran from officers on Moores Drive Thursday afternoon.

According to Hopkinsville Police, an officer was on an attempt to locate call in the 400 block of Moores Drive when he noticed a man, later identified as 25-year old Kamondre Franklin, matching the description of the person he was trying to locate. The officer asked Franklin for his ID, but Franklin reportedly stated he didn’t have one and gave his Social Security Number instead, which came back having an active warrant. When the officer went to place Franklin in handcuffs, police say he pushed the officer away and then fled, running through several yards. Franklin then ran inside his home in the 200 block of Moores Drive where police indicate he was apprehended.

Franklin was booked into the Christian County Jail charged with Resisting Arrest and 2nd Degree Fleeing or Evading Police on Foot.
