A young lady from Cadiz will reign over fair activities this week after being crowned Miss Western Kentucky State Fair Saturday night. 19-year-old McKayla Phillips, daughter of Matthew Phillips and Miranda Moore, is a student at Madisonville Community College. Phillips says she was excited to win the pageant.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Ashley Cali Parish, who is a Murray State University student, was named first runner-up. 17-year-old Jamee French was named second runner-up, with Parish also named Miss Congeniality.
