A drug raid at a Hopkins County residence Monday afternoon netted the arrest of four people, including a Hopkinsville woman.
When conducting surveillance around 1:30 p.m. at a home in the 100 block of Liberty Street in Morton’s Gap due to drug activity, detectives with the Madisonville/Hopkins County Vice Narcotics Unit saw a juvenile exit a side door and observed two other males sitting inside the open doorway, who had active warrants. As detectives went to arrest the two subjects, police say several subjects inside the house began to run and yell, “We are being raided.” All the subjects were apprehended and detectives indicate 37-year old Jeremy Tucker of Paducah and 23-year old Kimberly Hale of Hopkinsville were taken into custody. Tucker was reportedly arrested on a parole warrant and found in possession of methamphetamine.
After getting a search warrant for the home, police say Hale was found in possession of synthetic drugs, which she tried to hide. Detectives also seized suspected meth, suspected synthetic drugs, paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking and cash.
Tucker was charged with 1st Degree Trafficking in Controlled Substance (Over 2 Grams of Meth) 2nd Offense, and Parole Violation. Hale was charged with Possession of Synthetic Drugs, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Two other individuals, 31-year old Patrick Weidman of Owensboro and 32-year old Christopher Williams, of Morton’s Gap, were charged with active bench warrants out of Hopkins County for Failure to Pay Fines. Weidman was also served a warrant for Failure to Appear. All four subjects were lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
