Clarksville Police have made an arrest in a homicide that occurred Tuesday night at The Verge on Nolen Road.
Police spokesman Jim Knoll says 22 year old Shundarion Taylor was booked into the Montgomery County Jail Thursday night and charged with criminal Homicide in the death of 30 year old James Wells of Clarksville.
The investigation revealed the homicide occurred during a drug transaction. The news release says Taylor met with the victim to purchase drugs and during the course of the transaction an altercation ensued and Wells was fatally shot in the back. There was a handgun later located at Taylor’s residence with an expended shell casing in the chamber.
The investigation is still active and ongoing and it has been determined there were two other individuals involved in the homicide. Anyone who has information is asked to contact the Clarksville Police department tips line at 931-645-8477.
