A Hopkinsville Police Department lieutenant is recovering after a motorcycle wreck on Bradshaw Road over the weekend.

Christian County Sheriff’s Lt. Scott Noisworthy tells the News Edge the crash occurred around 6:00 Saturday evening in the 10,000 block when Lt. Jefferson Alexander lost control of his motorcycle and ran off the road, which caused his bike to flip a couple of times.

Lt. Noisworthy says when paramedics arrived on the scene Alexander was confused, couldn’t remember what happened and didn’t know what day it was. He says the deputy complained of ankle pain and was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.

He indicates Alexander was wearing a helmet and no alcohol was involved.
