Crofton Woman Charged With Fleeing On ATV

A Crofton woman is facing fleeing and other charges after she reportedly fled from deputies on an ATV.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reports a deputy observed 23-year old Kristen Malone operating an ATV on Old Madisonville Road around 10:30 Friday night without headlights or brake lights. The deputy says when he activated his emergency light and siren, Malone refused to stop. According to the deputy, he pulled up beside of her and she still didn’t stop, and traveled about 1/2 mile before he pulled up beside her again at which time she stopped.

Malone was taken into custody and the deputy reports when he cautioned her about bringing contraband into the jail, she admitted to possessing a small amount of marijuana in her bra and retrieved it.

Malone was booked into the Christian County Jail charged with 2nd Degree Fleeing or Evading Police Motor Vehicle, Operating ATV on Roadway, along with offenses for not having headlights or brake lights on the ATV.
