Police say a Hopkinsville woman being served a warrant for contempt of court is facing additional charges after she resisted arrest and fled from officers.
Hopkinsville Police report officers went to an apartment in the 600 block of East 17th Street to serve a warrant on 28-year old Stephanie Brown. Police say Brown gave them a false date of birth and then fled on foot. When she was apprehended, she reportedly slipped her cuffs off and actively resisted arrest.
Brown was lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with 2nd Degree Fleeing or Evading Police on Foot, Resisting Arrest, Giving Officer False Identifying Information, and 3rd Degree Escape.
