The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Lake Wind Advisory for all of western Kentucky until 6 PM Thursday.
Forecasters say gusty south winds will be expected through sunset across west Kentucky even outside of any shower or thunderstorm activity. Boaters should exercise caution when considering traveling on waterways today and be prepared to seek shelter when storms are near, as winds from thunderstorms may cause small watercraft to capsize.
Winds of up to 15 mph and gusts near 30 mph will be expected all day.
