Waffle House Shooting Suspect Captured

After about a 36-hour manhunt, the suspect accused of a deadly shooting at the Waffle House in Antioch, Tennessee early Sunday morning was captured shortly after noon Monday.

During a news conference Monday afternoon, Metro Police Leuitenant Carlos Lara told WTVF-Channel 5 reporters the narcotics unit was following up on any leads when they received a call about a man matching the description of 29-year old Travis Reinking. The caller said the man was going through a construction site behind an apartment complex at 5000 Mountain Springs Drive, headed to a wooded area.

The News Edge spoke to WTVF Reporter Matthew Torres Monday morning, who told us Reinking is suspected of killing four people and seriously injuring two others inside the Waffle House in Antioch.

Authorities say Reinking is charged four counts of Criminal Homicide and will be taken to a maximum security prison where he will be placed on suicide watch.
