Two HCA Students Chosen for Academic Honors

Two Heritage Christian Academy students have been selected to be a part of special opportunites over the summer.

Allie Maternowski has been accepted to the Governor’s Scholars Program (GSP), which takes the “best and brightest” across the state and their mission is to enhance the next generation of civic and economic leaders. GSP has three individual programs that will take place this summer at Morehead State University, Murray State University, and Northern Kentucky University.

Rose Nelson will join other students across the state as a part of the Commonwealth Honors Academy (CHA). The Commonwealth Honors Academy is an exciting, challenging three-week academic, social and personal growth program for outstanding high school students. CHA takes place at Murray State Univeristy.

Both students are currently Juniors at Heritage Christian Academy. They were both accepted into those programs based on their high ACT scores, outstanding grades, well-written essays, and teacher recommendations.
