The Kentucky Gun Company is going to raffle off a chance to win a one-of-kind rifle to help raise funds for the Trooper Cameron Ponder Scholarship Fund. Trooper Ponder, who was at Kentucky State Police Post 1 in Mayfield and was assigned to Trigg County, was fatally shot in Lyon County during a traffic stop on Interstate 24 in 2015.

Kentucky Gun Company President and Secretary Patrick Hayden produced a YouTube video about the customized rifle and raffle for the scholarship fund, along with his presentation to Trooper Ponder’s mother, Brenda Tiffany. She contacted them about purchasing a firearm to raffle for the scholarship fund and also asked for some guidance. Another fundraiser, a 5k race will held Saturday in Hardin County to raise funds for the scholarship and keep it growing.

After the Kentucky Gun Company teamed up with Shivley Police officers out of Louisville, Hayden informed Tiffany they were donating the customized rifle to the scholarship fund.
