After being on the job for twelve days, Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library Director DeeAnna Sova was introduced to Christian County Fiscal Court magistrates Tuesday morning. Sova says she chose to work at the library because she wants to take the momentum and continue to move forward. She adds that one of the most impressive numbers she has seen is the number of patrons that visit the library.

She also laid out her goals for the libary’s future, including getting the library back on the radar, and building community partnerships.

In new business, magistrates approved Judge-Executive Steve Tribble’s appointments to the Board of Appeals of Karen Chiles and Steve Wade.In other business, magistrates unanimously approved a pay request of more than $306,000 for the Public Safety Building.
The next fiscal court meeting will be held Tuesday morning, April 24th, at 8:30am.
