Four Nashville men were indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday and charged with federal firearm offenses following recent gun store burglaries in southern Kentucky and middle Tennessee, including Henry County.

U.S. Attorney of the Middle Tennessee District Don Cochran reports 22-year old Keith Swanson, 26-year old James Hudgens and 20-year old Karshma Dardy are charged with multiple firearm offenses, including conspiracy to steal and sell stolen firearms. A fourth man, 19-year old Keshawn Martin is charged in a separate indictment with possession of a stolen firearm.

A release says charging documents indicate approximately 125 guns were stolen between January 10 and February 18 from five gun stores that were burglarized.

A release says 63 firearms were stolen from Whittaker Gun Store in Owensboro on January 10; approximately 26 firearms were taken from Wheeler’s Fastway Gun and Pawn in Bowling Green on January 17; eight firearms were stolen from Kwik Cash in Smyrna, Tennessee on January 19; approximately 24 firearms were taken from King’s Firearms and More in Columbia, Tennessee on February 13; and on February 18 approximately 12 firearms were stolen during a burglary at Guns and Gear in Paris, Tennessee.

If convicted, Cochran says the defendants face up to five years in prison for the conspiracy charge; up to five years in prison for selling firearms without a license; and up to ten years in prison for possessing stolen firearms; and a $250,000 fine.
