A 37-year old man was arrested on a warrant after he allegedly stole more than $1,000 worth of coins from his employer. Hopkinsville Police report Gregory Keyes was charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking From Building $500 or More But Under $10,000.

According to the warrant, Keyes’ employer, Colin O’Brien stated on December 11, 2017 that Keyes unlawfully took a bucket containing approximately $1,500 to $2,000 worth of various coins from O’Brien’s home. O’Brien advised police he had left Keyes alone at his home while he and other employees were working on another construction job. O’Brien reportedly confronted Keyes the following day, who said he would go find the bucket and return it to O’Brien, but the indictment says the bucket nor money were ever returned.
