Princeton Man Charged With Burglary

A Princeton man has been charged in connection to a February burglary at the Princeton Public Works Department. Princeton Police Chief Chris King reported Monday that they received a call on February 24 shortly before 8:30am from Public Works Superintendent David Sullenger that sometime during the night someone entered the building and took several tools an other miscellaneous items. Police say they were able to identify a suspect through surveillance video from the property.

On February 28, Chief King says officers found the suspect, 31-year old Daniel Perdue and he confessed to the crime during an interview. The majority of the stolen property was reportedly recovered along with stolen property from other burglaries.

Perdue was arrested and charged with 3rd Degree Burglary, Theft By Unlawful Taking $500 or More but Less Than $10,000, 2nd Degree Fleeing or Evading Police on Foot, and Resisting Arrest.
