Clarksville Man Sought In Murray Home Invasion

Murray Police are looking for Clarksville man in connection to a home invasion and stabbing on South 15th Street early Wednesday morning. Police say they received a call shortly before 12:50am and when they arrived at the residence they found 24-year old Dalvin Dixon, of Texas, with visible wounds and they immediately provided first aid. Dixon was transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

During the investigation, witnesses told police two males in ski masks and dark clothing forced their way into the home and a brief altercation ensued and Dixon was stabbed. Police say during the altercation the mask of the alleged assailant was pulled off and Dixon recognized the man.

After a description was given to all local law enforcement agencies a Calloway County Sheriff’s deputy located a possible suspect, identified as 18-year old Trajan Yates of Lacenter. He was detained and taken to the Murray Police station where he was questioned, arrested and then charged with 1st Degree Assault and 1st Degree Burglary.

While at the crime scene on South 15th Street, police received another call regarding a possible stabbing at Station 74 and determined it was in connection to the original crime scene and not another assault. The caller reportedly provided information to police of two other suspects involved in the South 15th Street assault who were identified as 22-year old Maurice Redman of Clarksville and 18-year old Hannah Porter, of Calloway. Porter was located, arrested, and charged with 1st Degree Complicity to Assault and 1st Degree Complicity to Burglary.

Officers were unable to locate Redman who fled the area, and a warrant for his arrest was issued for 1st Degree Assault and 1st Degree Burglary.

Police say it was determined this was not a random home invasion, but that the suspects had entered the home with a prior motive and specific victim. They add Redman is not believed to be in the immediate area and there is not any perceived danger to the public.

A picture of Redman can be found with this story on our website.

If anyone has information of Redman’s whereabouts, please contact Murray Police at (270) 753-1621 or your local law enforcement agency.
