An elderly Logan County woman died Saturday afternoon when her home near Adairville was hit by a suspected tornado. Logan County Sheriff Wallace Whittake told the News-Democrat & Leader the victim was identified as 79-year-old Dallas Jane Combs.
Early reports of a second death in Logan county were not confirmed. All others who were initially reported missing, have been accounted for.
The suspected tornado touched down late Saturday afternoon when the first line of severe storms moved across Western Kentucky. Ms. Comb's home on Dot Road sustained major damage as the result of the storm.
