NWS Says Hopkinsville Tornado At Least EF-2

The National Weather Service says the tornado that hit Hopkinsville Saturday night was at least an EF-2. Warning Coordination Meterologist Rick Shanklin and a team from the Weather Service are in Hopkinsville and Christian County surveying storm damage.

Shanklin says the damage was definitely from a tornado.



Based on the initial assessment, Shanklin says the twister had winds of at least 100 miles per hour.




He adds the residents of Eagle Crossing Apartments are lucky.
