Drug Court Helps Restore Lives And Families (w/VIDEO)

Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu says a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. No statement could be more true for the clients of Christian County Drug Court. Six Drug Court attendees recently graduated from the program. Jessica W entered the program from Casey County.

She also graduated from Trilogy Center for Women while she was here. It was in Casey County as part of the Drug Court program that she met Jessica G.

Jessica G was also a recent graduate of the Christian County Drug Court Program.

Jessica G has been sober for 20 months. The women know there is a hard road ahead but credit the Drug Court program with making this new start possible. Jessica W says the one-on-one connection and personal accountability are the reason she will be successful for years to come.

Drug Court is an 18 month alternative program set up to help people with drug-related offenses stay out of jail. Staff create customized treatment plans, counseling, drug testing, and training for each participant, who is also required to get a job and maintain it.

Thomas B. was also among the graduates and says the program really helped him get his life back on track.
