Man Charged With Fleeing From Police On ATV

A 37-year old man is was arrested after authorities say he fled on a ATV in Christian County Monday night. Frankie Reed was taken into custody on Lake Blythe Road around 8:30pm and charged with Illegal Taking of Wildlife, 1st Degree Fleeing or Evading Police in a Motor Vehicle, 2nd Degree Fleeing and Evading Police on Foot, and Operating an ATV on Roadway.

The Christian County Sheriff's Office reports the pursuit began when the deputy activated his emergency equipment after he observed Reed driving an ATV with a dead deer on the back of it traveling southbound in the 6000 block of Old Madisonville Road. Reed then turned onto Lake Blythe Road and continued to flee and turned into two fields on the back side of Lake Blythe. The deputy reportedly lost sight of Reed, but noticed a dim light near the lake and then noticed it was the ATV. The deputy also observed a beer can floating in the lake next to the ATV. After looking around for Reed and not being able to find him, the deputy called for a K-9 track. The deputy says Reed was found lying face down near the lake attempting to hide with his camouflage jacket.

Reed was apprehended without further incident and lodged in the Christian County Jail.
