A Webster County woman was charged Monday morning with possessing drugs and resisting arrest. Kentucky State Police report a trooper and a Webster County Sheriff's deputy arrived at a residence in Clay around 9:20am to serve a warrant for Contempt of Court on 32-year old Carrie Braden.
While being arrested, police say Braden tried to pull away from the officers and after a brief struggle she was successfully detained. During the investigation, officers reportedly discovered Braden had hidden pills on her.
Braden was lodged in the Webster County Detention Center charged with 2nd Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance – Drug Unspecified, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Resisting Arrest, and she was served the Warrant for Contempt of Court.
