Woman Charged With 2nd Meth Trafficking Offense

A Princeton woman is facing her second offense for trafficking meth and other charges after she was arrested in Marshall County over the weekend. The Marshall County Sheriff's Office says a deputy stopped a vehicle driven by Christy Renee Melton on Gilbertsville Highway around 8:10 Sunday night.

As a result of an investigation, Melton was taken into custody and lodged in the Marshall County Jail charged with her second offense of 1st Degree Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs, One Headlight, Failure of Owner to Maintain Insurance, and Failure to Register Transfer of Motor Vehicle.
