The City of Crofton is holding a special meeting Sunday in order to obtain public support for renovating the North Christian Veterans Memorial Park. City officials say the overall scope of the renovation project will cover the implementation of new granite monuments representing all branches of service, engraved with the names of the men and women that have served and presently serve; six aluminum flag poles and flags to honor each branch of service, MIA and POW, as well as the U.S. Flag; new commercial lighting; new concrete work; and landscaping. City officials add the overall appearance will be modern and stately, and will represent the branches of the armed services in a proud and honorable manner.
