Pennyrile Counties To Get New Fixed Wireless Internet

Trigg, Christian, Caldwell, Todd, Calloway and Lyon will be among fifty-one Kentucky counties getting AT&T Fixed Wireless Internet Service.   Trigg County Judge Executive Hollis Alexander made the announcement at Tuesday’s Cadiz Rotary meeting.

Alexander says he was notified about the new service Tuesday morning by the Pennyrile Area Development District.

Alexander says the service will be the latest in technology from the uitility provider.

He says that will be a huge boost for the counties affected.

According to an email from AT&T Kentucky President Hood Harris the service will reach more than 84,000 locations by 2020. The service will provide internet download speeds of 10 mbs or faster from a wireless tower to a fixed antenna on a customer’s home or business.
