The Grand Rivers community is reeling from the fire at Patti’s 1880’s Settlement Restaurant. Tourism Director, Brian McDonald says Patti’s is one of the largest employers and tax revenue generators in Grand Rivers.
He adds Grand Rivers would still love to see visitors, especially at those smaller businesses.
The Tourism Office faces Patti’s, and McDonald was at work Monday morning when the fire broke out.
He says before he could grab a phone to call someone, the fire department was on the scene.
McDonald had a gut reaction to the fire.
Patti’s has already committed to rebuilding, but McDonald says Grand Rivers will still be around in the meantime and would love to see you.
