Patti’s Extensively Damaged In Monday Fire

A famous lakes area eatery was extensively damaged by fire Monday morning. Firefighters were called out early Monday morning to the report of a fire at Patti’s Restaurant in Grand Rivers. Reports to the News Edge indicate the fire started in the kitchen area of the restaurant and was reported by a passerby shortly before 8am.

The Grand Lakes Fire Department was aided by Burna, Calvert City, Fairdealing, Kuttawa, Ledbetter, Salem, and Smithland Fire Departments. Crews remained on the scene until 2:45pm. The fire was reportedly contained to the kitchen area.

Patti’s officials say they are already in the process of planning to rebuild.A post on Patti’s Facebook page says all their employees are safe and will continue to have jobs. They also thanked the first responders for quickly arriving on the scene and containing the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The State Fire Marshal’s Office was called.
