Fourth District Representative Lynn Bechler says he was pleased the Kentucky Organ Donors bill that he is sponsoring is headed to the Senate. House Bill 84 would require coroners or medical examiners to verify the organ and tissue donation wishes of a deceased person.
Bechler said some misconceptions about the bill were cleared up before it passed the house.
The bill passed the Kentucky House by an 88 to nothing vote.
