Sheriff’s Office Investigating Attempted Burglary At Trigg Home

The Trigg County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted burglary Monday afternoon at a Caledonia-Pee Dee home. Deputy Jared Werner tells the News Edge he was dispatched to a home in the 3400 block around 2:16pm where he made contact with the female homeowner. He says the woman stated that a young male came through the carport door into the kitchen and opened up some closet doors in the living room and then made his way into the back bedroom where she was standing. The woman told Deputy Werner the man then told her she needed to go outside and when she turned around he was gone. He says the homeowner went to look outside, but she didn’t see anything.

Deputy Werner says it appears the male suspect used a pry bar to force his way into the home. He says it appears the suspect fled the home in a vehicle.

According to Deputy Werner, the homeowner described the male as medium build, dark hair, with a five o’clock shadow, blue work shirt, and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office.
