Marshall High Students See Changes In Routine

Marshall County School officials say students coming to the high school will see more stringent security measures. According to information released by Marshall County Superintendent Trent Lovett all students will have their bags, backpacks and purses checked at an entrance.

Students riding the bus to school will continue entering through the same doors they normall use by the office. Students who drive or get dropped off will enter through the lower main gym lobby or the auxilliary gym.

The changes began with the arrival of students Tuesday, January 30th.

Lovett also told parents the counseling center at the old Pepsi Plant on 641 will remain open through the remainder of the week from 1 until 6 every afternoon. The school is offering small group counseling in the school library from 3 until 4 Monday through Thursday. And a Billy Graham Crisis Response Team is also offering counseling services.
