KY-TN Grain Meeting Friday In Logan County

This years KY/TN Grain Day will feature nationally known speaker Greg Peterson of the Peterson Farm Brothers. Greg farms grain, alfalfa and beef cattle in Assaria, Kansas with his parents, brothers and sister. He and his brothers are famous for their YouTube videos about farming (over 50 million views) and they are strong advocates for educating the public about farm issues.

The Conference will be held Friday, February 2 at the Logan County Extension Office, 255 John Paul Avenue in Russellville. Registration and refreshments begin at 7:30 a.m.

In addition to Peterson, the program will feature speakers from the Universities of Kentucky and Tennessee. Presentations will include a grain marketing update, weed management and dicamba issue update, farm uses of drones, and the top 5 keys to corn and soybean profitability for 2018. There will also be commercial displays from area agribusinesses and farm input suppliers.

The program will run from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. B.R. Knuckles Insurance Agency will be sponsoring lunch.
