Man Arrested For Threatening Paducah Student

A Trigg County High School graduate is facing charges after allegedly threatening a Paducah high school student. WPSD reports 19-year old DeTaveon Day, who lives in Matton, Illinois, was arrested Friday after a Paducah Tilghman High School student notified police. She reportedly told them Day had taken credit for the Marshall County High School shooting and told her she would be next.

Police determined Day was in no way connected to the tragedy in Marshall County. He was arrested on a charge of terroristic threatening and jailed in Coles County, Illinois, awaiting extradition to Kentucky.

Day is a 2016 graduate of Trigg County High School and signed to play basketball at Lakeland College in Matton, Illinois.
