Man Charged With Fleeing, Possessing Meth And Heroin

A Nortonville man was arrested on drug and other charges after he fled from police Thursday afternoon. The Hopkins County Sheriff's Office reports deputies and Madisonville Police detectives went to a home in the 200 block of Dogwood Lane around 1:30pm to serve a warrant on 28-year old Nathaniel Brock Sorrells. When detectives found Sorrells in the front yard, he fled on foot. Deputies say he was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit.

Sorrells was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail charged with 2nd Degree Fleeing or Evading Police, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Synthetic Drugs, 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance – Heroin, 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance – Meth, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was also served a warrant for 4th Degree Domestic Violence Assault.
